Learn About Shannon

BS in Nursing | School of Health Sciences

From a young age, Shannon always knew she wanted to build a career around her passion for helping others. After graduating from community college, Shannon entered the healthcare field and became an oncology nurse.

Knowing the value of a baccalaureate education, Shannon enrolled at APU to pursue her BSN. By attending online classes, Shannon could complete her degree at her own pace, while gaining the knowledge and skills to provide quality care for her patients.

How She Did it

High School

Shannon knew she wanted to be a nurse from the time she was in high school, and she was the first person in her family to earn a college degree.

Flexibility

Having the opportunity to earn her degree while still working full time and being available to family and friends made APU the right choice for Shannon.

Transfer Credits

Applying the credits Shannon earned while getting her associate degree allowed her to save time and money earning her bachelor’s.*

*The University reserves the right to accept or deny credits according to the policies outlined on the University website. Actual time to completion will be based upon transfer credit evaluation and eligibility.

I like the fact that I can choose when I take my classes, how many I want to take— it’s all up to me and it’s on my time.
