Registering Late for Courses

Late registration goes into effect as soon as the open registration time period has ended, and lasts until 11:59 p.m. ET Thursday during the first week of the course.

View the academic calendar for the open and close registration dates for each 8- or 16-week session.

$50 Late Fee

Late registrations incur a $50 fee, which is nonrefundable if you drop or withdraw from your course.

Look for the Clock Icon

When you enter the course registration menu, you'll know if you are in the late registration period if you see a clock icon located next to the course name. If you see this icon, you will incur the $50 late fee.

Are you Eligible to Register Late?

You can register during the late period only if you meet these requirements:

• Are on active academic status and in good financial standing.
• Do not have more than one current course extension.
• Reside in the contiguous United States (students who are currently deployed, reside outside of the U.S., or are located in Alaska or Hawaii must register within the open registration dates).

Exceptions

If you pay for school using Federal Student Aid (FSA) or Veterans (VA) benefits, you can only register late up to the Friday before the start of class.

If you are an Army student using Military TA, you must register by the ArmyIgnitED registration close date.

Changing Payment Type During Late Registration

If you register late for a course and then decide to change your payment type after the course has begun, you'll need to contact our finance office at [email protected] or call 877-755-2787 (Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET).
