We provide preliminary transfer credit reviews at no cost.

Steps to Get Started
Complete Admissions Requirements
After you submit your admissions application, review the undergraduate or graduate admissions ecampus tutorial and relevant tuition checklists (financial aid and military TA). An admissions representative will walk you through the follow-up steps you need to get started.
Marines and sailors in the Marine Corps Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF), at the Naval Support Facility in Indian Head, Maryland can receive college credit at APU for their extensive training in emergency and disaster response. CBIRF students completing the Basic Operations Course can receive up to 15 transfer credits toward one of five associate and bachelor’s degree programs offered at APU.

APU's military grant covers tuition above the military TA cap of $250 per credit hour for all undergraduate and master's-level programs

Military Tuition Assistance (TA)
Marine Corps tuition assistance (TA) is offered to active-duty Marines up to $250 per credit hour for a total of $4,500 per fiscal year. Marine Corps students must submit an application through the Navy College Office's Virtual WebTA portal to use their military TA.
Transfer Credit
You may be eligible to apply your documented military training, prior education or non-academic experience to your degree program at APU. We accept undergraduate professional military education transfer credits* from the U.S. Marine Corps Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Counterintelligence (CI)/Human Intelligence (HUMINT) Basic Course.

Returning Military Students
You can return to your program if you submitted a request to place your program on hold prior to a military deployment or if you did not make any progress on your academic program for a full year.

*Alumni Graduated with No APUS-incurred Student Loan Debt
As of December 31, 2021. Includes alumni who graduated with an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree from APUS. Student loan debt is defined as student loans and private education loans used for tuition, fees, living expenses, and book costs associated with courses taken at APUS. Many APUS students receive military tuition assistance and veterans education benefits, which are not student loan debt.
