On [DATE], American Public University System combined with Rasmussen University and Hondros College of Nursing to form a single higher education institution. American Public University System (System) now includes American Public University, American Military University, Rasmussen University, and Hondros College of Nursing. The System is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Public Education, Inc. (APEI). We are continuing to update our website to reflect our new structure.

 

We encourage you to apply for any scholarship or aid resource that can help with your educational costs, but you must inform the Financial Aid Office of multiple sources of financial aid. This includes FSA, military tuition assistance (TA), employer vouchers, outside scholarships, state grants, vocational rehabilitation, or agency funding.

To notify us, simply email finaid@apus.edu. Include the following in your email:

  • Type of aid you are expecting to receive
  • A copy of the letter or notice from the company or agency
  • The amount of the scholarship or aid source

Note: Failure to inform the Financial Aid Office could result in a loss or reduction of your Federal Student Aid and repayment of aid back to the university.
